NJEDA Requests Feedback via RFI Issued around Increasing Solar and Energy Storage Capacity

The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) requests feedback for a Request for Information (RFI) on increasing Solar and Energy Storage capacity in the state.
RFI Responses are due via email by July 8, 2026, to cleanenergy@njeda.gov. The RFI can be found posted here: https://www.njeda.gov/bidding/#OET
The Authority is seeking additional insight regarding potential gaps in existing programs, specific projects in New Jersey that are actively seeking funding, potential sites that are suitable for future solar and/or storage installations, or suggestions for other potential associated programs or investments from the Authority that will further support the buildout of solar generation and storage capacity in the state in alignment with Governor Sherrill’s Executive Orders 1 and 2.
The Authority is specifically interested in leveraging landfill properties and/or State-owned property for hosting solar and storage capacity and interested in understanding any barriers that are unique to these properties.
Thank you in advance for your time and responses! We greatly appreciate your important input. Please feel free to share this RFI with others for their awareness and participation.
